The Hayes family was my very first session after we moved into new our house here in Washington last August. I mean, we literally got our household furniture and boxes delivered the day before! I was so excited to book a session so soon after moving and I was ready to start exploring some of the awesome locations around the area.
We decided to do their session at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge in Olympia, and obviously it was my first visit there! If you're local and you haven't made it out to the refuge yet, I really encourage you to go. It's a neat place to walk around and view some of the local wildlife, and it's very family friendly (and also a great spot for sessions!). I'm so happy the Hayes agreed to meet with me so early in the morning; the light was just gorgeous and the weather was perfect. I know that summer session times can be a little inconvenient for families with younger kids--the sun rises super early in the AM and sets super late in the PM-- but I promise you that the light is so worth it!
Anyways... :)
I had so much fun with this adorable family! Little Sam was so sweet and, as you can see, he was super excited about exploring the refuge. He actually became a big brother to the cutest little girl not too long after I took these pictures!
